FIRE IN THE AMAZON:
Brazilian Ecological Crisis.
This Tryptic was designed for a series on the subject of south American political issues. It promotes a hypothetical ecological summit concerning the ecological issues facing Brazil and the Amazon Rainforest. It uses cowhide as a motif representing the growing Agricultural industry that is contributing to the deforestation in Brazil. The Title Slash and Burn refers to a method for clearing and preparing woodland for agricultural use.
