CRISIS DE BLOIVIA:
Bolivian coup d'état.
This Tryptic was designed for a series on the subject of south American political issues. It depicts a police line confronting a wave of protesters. The colored stripes at the bottom of the composition is known as the Wipala, It is used as the flag for the indigenous population. The background image was clipped from a New York Times article covering the crisis. The 2” image was scanned and enlarged to a final width of 72”. The aim was to create the most impactful and opposing backdrop to juxtapose the text representing the collective voice of the Bolivian people.
